◆Ａ、Bそれぞれの平均値を出す。
Aの平均：（4 + 1）÷ 2 = 2.5
Bの平均：（2 ＋ 3）÷ 2 = 2.5
◆Ａ、Bそれぞれの偏差を計算する。偏差=各データ－平均値
Aの偏差：（4 – 2.5）、（1 – 2.5）= 1.5、-1.5
Bの偏差：（2 – 2.5）、（3 – 2.5）= -0.5、0.5
◆Ａ、Bの偏差をそれぞれ2乗する。

◆相関係数は、次の公式で求めることができる。
相関係数=［（A-Aの平均値）x（B-Bの平均値）］の和／√（A-Aの平均値）2の和x（B-Bの平均値）2の和

相関係数 = -1.5／√4.5 x 2 = -1.5／√9 = -1.5／3 = -0.5
従って、かなり負の相関があるといえる。

4　統計処理－相関関係

　心を頑なにして狭めてしまう精神的な動脈硬化に感染する要因は、白人居住区が考えられる。精神的な動脈硬化という症状を受け入れて、積極的に予防策を考えることができるかどうか、または、拒絶して白人のための居住区や安楽クラブで一生過ごすかどうか、その意欲と適用を問いかけている。
　そのため、データベースから抽出したカラムは、意味3　課題や問題の1受入または2拒絶と、人工知能1　心の働きのうち、1意欲と2適応能力である。

3.2　標準偏差による分析

　グループＡ、グループＢ、グループＣ、グループＤそれぞれの標準偏差を計算する。その際、場面1、場面2、場面3の特性1と特性2のそれぞれの値は、質量ではなく指標であるため、特性の個数を数えて算術平均を出し、それぞれの値から算術平均を引き、その2乗の和集合の平均を求め、これを平方に開いていく。
　求められた各グループの標準偏差の数字は、何を表しているのだろうか。数字の意味が説明できれば、分析は、一応の成果が得られたことになる。　

◆グループＡ：五感（1視覚と2その他）
場面1（特性1、5と特性2、0個）の標準偏差は、0となる。
場面2（特性1、1個と特性2、4個）の標準偏差は、0.4となる。
場面3（特性1、0個と特性2、5個）の標準偏差は、0となる。
【数字からわかること】
場面1、場面2、場面3を通して、五感の情報にはバラツキがある作品といえる。

◆グループＢ：ジェスチャー（1直示と2隠喩）
場面1（特性1、2個と特性2、3個）の標準偏差は、0.49となる。
場面2（特性1、2個と特性2、3個）の標準偏差は、0.49となる。
場面3（特性1、0個と特性2、5個）の標準偏差は、0となる。
【数字からわかること】
「ブルジョア世界の終わりに」は、南アフリカ当局の監視が強いため、場面1、場面2、場面3を通して、隠喩が多いことがわかる。

We master our environment in order to stay alive, but this is mastery only over the human span, whether that’s measured by three-score-and -ten or its prolongation for a few years – as with the old lady – by medicine. We’ve learnt how to stay alive – until it’s time to die.

The very scene of operations is significant. We call the nothing above me ‘the sky’; and that way it’s become the roof of our environment, part of our terrestrial and finite being, witness of our moment of eighty-seven years or thirty-one (he would have been thirty-two next month).

3　統計処理－バラツキ

3.1　データの抽出

　作成したデータベースから特性が2つあるカラムを抽出し、標準偏差によるバラツキを調べてみる。例えば、Ａ：五感（1視覚と2それ以外）、Ｂ：ジェスチャー（1直示と2隠喩）、Ｃ：情報の認知プロセス（1旧情報と2新情報）、Ｄ：情報の認知プロセス（1問題解決と2未解決）というように文系と理系のカラムをそれぞれ2つずつ抽出する。

分析例
（1）“The Late Bourgeois World”執筆時のゴーディマの脳の活動を意欲と考えており、その裏には、先にも書いた、南アフリカの白人がアパルトヘイトに対する社会の変革にどうのように関与できるのかという問題がある。
（2）意欲と組になるものを、知能、つまり適応能力にする。意欲とは、意志と欲求からなり、このバランスが悪いと、適応能力は発揮できない。
（3）情報の認知1（感覚情報）
感覚器官からの情報に注目することから、対象の捉え方が問題になる。また、記憶に基づく感情は、扁桃体と関連しているため、条件反射で無意識に素振りに出てしまう。このプロセルのカラムの特徴は、1ベースとプロファイル、2グループ化、3条件反射である。
（4）情報の認知2（記憶と学習）
外部からの情報を既存の知識構造へ組み込む。この新しい知識はスキーマと呼ばれ、既存の情報と共通する特徴を持っている。また、未知の情報はカテゴリー化されて、経験を通した学習につながる。このプロセルのカラムの特徴は、1旧情報、2新情報である。
（5）情報の認知3（計画、問題解決）
受け取った情報は、計画を立てるプロセスでも役に立つ。その際、目的に応じて問題を分析し、解決策を探っていく。しかし、獲得した情報が完全でない場合は、推論が必要になる。このプロセルのカラムの特徴は、1計画から問題解決へ、2問題未解決から推論へ、である。
（6）人工知能1　心の働きのうち、1意欲と2適応能力に注目する。

Ａ 情報の認知1は、2グループ化、情報の認知2は、1旧情報、情報の認知3は、1計画から問題解決へ、人工知能1は、1意欲である。
Ｂ 情報の認知1は、2グループ化、情報の認知2は、2新情報、情報の認知3は、2問題未解決から推論へ、人工知能1は、2適応能力である。
Ｃ 情報の認知1は、1ベースとプロファイル、情報の認知2は、2新情報、情報の認知3は、2計画から問題解決へ、人工知能1は、1意欲である。
Ｄ 情報の認知1は、2グループ化、情報の認知2は、1旧情報+2新情報、情報の認知3は、2問題未解決から推論へ、人工知能1は、2適応能力である。
Ｅ 情報の認知1は、2グループ化、情報の認知2は、2新情報、情報の認知3は、1計画から問題解決へ、人工知能1は、2適応能力である。

結果
　言語の認知の出力「空間と時間」が情報の認知の入力となり、まず南アフリカの白人たちがその対象になる。次に、彼らが感染している精神的な動脈硬化が情報の認知で新情報となり、結局、白人居住区が汚染地区であるため、「空間と時間」は、新たな国作りのための意欲と精神的な動脈硬化を予防する適応能力が組になる執筆脳と相互に作用する。
　上記場面は、妹の結婚式であるため、マックスの脳では、快楽の神経伝達物質ドーパミンが前頭葉で分泌し、間脳を経て脳幹に信号が伝わっている。
記憶については、Ａが長期記憶で、Ｂ、Ｃ、Ｄ、Ｅは作業記憶となる。この場面では作業記憶が強いため、ゴーディマの執筆脳は、前頭葉が活発に働いている。
